INSTRUCTION OF BUTTERFLY VALVE

STORAGE, INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE

STORAGE

*The butterfly valve should be deposited in the dry indoor place; the disc opens at 4°-5°.

INSTALLATION：GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

* This butterfly valve may be installed on the optional position of the pipeline.

* The installation position should guarantee the convenience of usage, maintenance and also replacement.

* When installation, the medium flow direction may not be taken into consideration.

FITTING ON PIPEWORK

* Checking whether application condition is the same with the valve performance standard.

* Cleaning the cavity and sealing surface, don’t allow any contamination to adhere, before cleaning, don’t open or shut the disc.

* Inspect the handle whether reliable with the flange connection, the handle set screw whether firms with the seal.

* After installation, when performing the pipeline intensity test, the disc must be in opens state.

USE AND MAINTENANCE

* After installation the valve, the valves should be inspected at regular time.

* Whether there is any damage occurrence on valve seat and also on O-ring.

* Sealing function of disc sealing surface.

* After overhaul and assembly, the blocking phenomenon is not allowed when opening and shutting.

* After overhaul and assembly, sealing performance test should be carried on according to the standard.

3.Possible breakdown occurrence and method of eliminating

Break down of possible occurrence	Possible reasons	Method of removing
Sealing surface leakage	Collision damage of seat, disc scratch, or block phenomenon between seat and disc.	Replace the Seat or examine &repair disc.
Leakage from end of stem	The axle hole of butterfly valve seat damages, the sealing of O-ring abate	Replace the seat or O-ring
