Quarter turn butterfly valve with electric actuator which turns on a diametrical axis inside a pipe or by two semicircular plates hinged on a common spindle, which permits flow in only one direction. These actuated butterfly valves offer a rotary stem movement of 90 degrees or less, in a compact design. Quarter-turn electric actuators use electrical energy to open, close, or throttle valves that require highly accurate positioning. They are designed to automate the precise operation of valves that open and close through a rotary 90° motion (a quarter turn).
